The Works and Maintenance Department was establish in the year 2010, after the inception of the then Specialist Hospital by the federal government, as a teaching hospital its scope of services is far beyond that of a specialist hospital and hence the need for professional staffs that would handle the great task and challenges, as well as the vision and mission of the hospital.

FUNCTIONS OF FINANCE DEPARTMENT

1. Design and supervision (Consultancy Services) for new Works and Renovation/Refurbishment works.
2. Daily and periodic maintenance within the hospital and environments this include both corrective and preventive maintenance works.
3. Distribution of housing and spaces/space allocation.
4. Facility management.
5. Supervise and advice in the purchase of hospital equipment and servicing of equipment’s.
6. Distribution of water and reservations.
7. Distribution of power, repairs of electrical and electronics.
8. Laundry and dry cleaning services.
9. Coordination and provision of transportation services.
10. Handling plant, generators and machineries.
11. Training of I.T. Students NYSC Corps members, as well as in-house capacity building of our staffs among others functions.
